| The Origin of Human Beings |
| From the point of view of phylogenetic evolution, the Origin of Human Beings systematically illustrates the origin of human as a species and as an individual. The exhibition consists of six subject units: Human is Animal, Human is Special Animal, The Origin of Human as Special Animal, The Origin of Modern Man, The Origin of Yellow Man, The Origin of Human Being as Individual. Making use of lots of precious fossils, pictures and illustrations together with entity specimens, the exhibition shows the origin, evolution and development of human being. |

| Beijing Museum of Natural History grew out of the preparation department of National Central Museum of Natural History founded in 1951. |
| 1962 |
| Beijing Museum of Natural History was formally named in 1962. |

| In 1979, the museum initiated the Chinese Association of Natural Science Museums that is playing more and more important role in the museum field today. |

| Thereafter, Memoirs of Beijing Natural History Museum and Nature started publication in 1980. |

| The Illustration of Biological History was edited and published in 1982. |
