| The Green Homeland |
| The Green Homeland is the basic exhibition on botany. Taking the diversity of plants as its theme, the exhibition introduces groups of plants and their respective representatives, living environment and their important status in the nature. Entering the hall, you may find yourself in front of a grand rainforest. The interactive computer game helps you join in the exhibition. After visiting, you may realize that the plants are the bases for survival and this planet will no longer be beautiful without this green homeland. |

| Beijing Museum of Natural History grew out of the preparation department of National Central Museum of Natural History founded in 1951. |

| Beijing Museum of Natural History was formally named in 1962. |
